Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – 26 June 2025 – The iconic Chinese hotpot brand Shu DaXia Hotpot has officially opened its doors in Kota Kinabalu, bringing its bold flavors, heroic brand story, and Sichuan-style dining experience to East Malaysia. The grand opening celebration, held at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, was a dynamic showcase of tradition, entertainment, and appreciation for the partners who made it possible.
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished lineup of VIPs who have played key roles in the brand’s expansion into the region :

The celebration began with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a spirited lion dance and Cai Qing (採青) performance – a Chinese tradition believed to usher in prosperity and good fortune.
As a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, tokens were presented to the VIPs in recognition their support and commitment to the brand’s journey.
Guests enjoyed light refreshments and the exclusive tasting of Shu Da Xia’s signature rice
cake with brown sugar, before being treated to a high-energy martial arts performance by
Tian Jiang (天將) – a professional kickboxing coach, actor, and stunt performer. The day
continued with a captivating face-changing performance by Mr. Edmund, paying homage
to the brand’s deep cultural roots in Chinese opera.
