    1. Tell us about yourself.

I have always loved aviation and travelling and I have worked for British Airways, EasyJet, Etihad and now I am proud and privileged to be part of the Malaysia Airlines family leading the team in the UK and Europe.  I am married to my beautiful wife Claudia and have a dog called Franco, we have a baby on the way which is really exciting.  I am also a big football fan and really pleased to see Malaysia Airlines sponsored Liverpool FC back in the Champions League next year.

    1. Is this your first visit to Sabah?

Yes.  I joined Malaysia Airlines seven months ago and it is really important for me to see and feel our destinations in person.  We are lucky to have such great destinations in our domestic network to promote across the UK & Europe and Sabah is a fantastic example of how lucky we are.

    1. Tell us about your trip here.

I only had a short time but I had dinner from the fish market one evening and visited the islands to have a short trek in the jungle.  I finished my stay with a fantastic sunset cruise which was beautiful.  I can’t wait to return and experience everything else that Sabah has to offer.

    1. Can you share with us your thoughts on Sabah?

It is a fantastic place.  Having visited for the first time it has made me even more determined to educate the UK and European travelers of what a fantastic destination it is.  Malaysia Airlines will be ensuring we do everything we can to take our guests to Sabah with all of our activity focused on supporting such fantastic destinations across our domestic network.

    1. Did you try any local dishes? If yes, what was your favourite and what did you think about it?

Yes I did and it was fantastic.  The fish was absolutely superb, fresh from the market and by far one of the best meals I have ever had, so that experience was my favourite.

    1. If you don’t mind sharing, what are your projected or long-term plans for Sabah with Malaysia Airlines?

Sabah is and will continue to be an integral part of our network.  The Sabah region is an appealing destination for travelers from around the world and all of our markets will continue to highlight the benefits and beauty of a trip to Sabah. My personal objective with our team in the UK and Europe is to increase the number of visitors to Sabah and domestic Malaysia in general as we have a wealth of fantastic destinations.

    1. Will you come back? Which part of Sabah are you planning to visit next?

Absolutely 100%!  I would love to climb Mount Kinabalu on my next trip.  I would also like to take this opportunity to say Terima Kasih to everyone in Sabah for making me feel so welcome and for the fantastic hospitality I was provided throughout.  It was amazing.
