Starting 1 January 2026 onwards, the use of single-use plastic bags will be strictly prohibited in all Sabah Parks areas.
This measure is aimed at protecting the fragile natural environment and wildlife, especially marine and forest ecosystems, from pollution and long-term damage.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own reusable eco bags when visiting the parks. This initiative is part of Sabah Parks’ commitment to environmental conservation and supports global sustainability efforts.
