What Is the Tanjung Aru Beach Festival?
Tanjung Aru Beach Festival is an annual event which celebrates local culture, music, food, and art at Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both locals and tourists can indulge in live music performances by talented local bands and artists, traditional dance shows, cultural exhibitions, displays of local arts and crafts, and food stalls offering local delicacies for visitors to experience. The two-day event also treats visitors with a variety of sports, including water sports and recreational activities, while they enjoy the beauty of Tanjung Aru beach, which is known for having one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. TABF also serves as a platform for raising awareness about the importance of tourism sustainability and maintaining the cleanliness of our beach, not only during the event but also in the future, recognising its significance as a heritage site for the people of Sabah. Ultimately, the festival provides a platform for people to come together and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Tanjung Aru Beach.
