As you stroll along the Australian Place, you will find a unique restaurant in turquoise blue. That, would be Biru Biru Cafe, which literally means “blue blue cafe”! Flash back in time, Biru Biru Cafe was the first cafe at Australian Place. Now, the street is filled with unique cafes, backpacker hostels, and creative handicraft stores.
Diners come during the day for a coffee and meals, and during the night, some guests would go for dinner and a drink (or two, or more…we don’t judge). Apart from the specials, you can also find drinks with a touch of local taste, such as the traditional rice wine.
We recommend the Moscow Mule (Grey Goose Vodka), Mojito (Rum), Caipiroska (Vodka) and Don Mango (two shots of Captain Morgan, coconut cream, and mango syrup). Other beverages available include wine, mocktails, sodas, and milkshakes.
If you’re looking for a quick and easy meal or pusas to munch on, the Minced Lamb with Tortillas are absolutely delicious! For a classy twist, try out the Broken Biru-Biru Waffle – covered in feta, basil, and tomatoes. It’s something like a breakfast pizza, but so much better. Want to opt for something local? Try the Nasi Goreng with Corned Beef or Chicken and Tuhau Spaghetti!
