Kuala Lumpur, 10 June 2026 – ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre proudly announces the official launch of its vibrant cultural and culinary celebrations, Flavour of Sabah Kaamatan and Taste of Sarawak Gawai, showcasing the rich heritage, traditions, and authentic flavours of Sabah and Sarawak.
The launch event was officiated by YB Chiew Choon Man, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting Malaysia’s diverse cultural identity through culinary and cultural experiences.
Supported by Tourism Malaysia, both promotions are proudly presented in collaboration with The Native Cafe Sabah & Mercure Miri City Centre, Miri, Sarawak, bringing authentic East Malaysian hospitality and culinary heritage to the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The campaign celebrates two iconic harvest festivals from East Malaysia — Kaamatan from Sabah and Gawai from Sarawak, offering guests an immersive cultural dining experience at Kampung Kitchen, ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
