Location
Keningau is Sabah’s fifth largest town and houses the largest park in Sabah which is the Crocker Range National Park. Keningau is a popular tourist centre with many historical sites and heritage buildings.
Itinerary
Day 1
08:00: Pick up at KK city hotel
10:00: Quick shopping at Keningau Town
12:00: Lunch, last stop at Sook Town
15:00: ETA Tainiskon Camp Site, meet and greeting by the guide
18:00: Dinner, prepared by participants (own ration)
The rest of the evening is free for any activity. Rest and recreation.
Day 2
06:00: Wake up, clean and pack up
07:00: Breakfast (own rations)
08:00: Last equipment, briefing by in-house guide
09:00: Start trekking
12:00: Lunch, enroute
14:00: ETA Camp 2 (Khiong Point)
17:00: Enjoy the panorama of Mount Trusmadi Valley
18:00: Dinner, prepared by particapants (own rations)
Rest of the evening is free for rest and recreation
Day 3
01:30: Early wake up and pack up
02:00: Start climbing to the peak (4.2km)
06:00: ETA Mt. Trusmadi Peak
07:30: Start trekking back to Camp 2
10:00: ETA Camp 2 (rest before lunch)
11:00: Lunch at Camp 2
12:00 Continue trekking back to Camp 1
15:30: ETA Camp 1, clean and rest
17:00: Back to Kota Kinabalu
Dinner by own arrangement, continue journey back to Kota Kinabalu
22:00: ETA at Kota Kinabalu
Campsite
A chance to sleep under the stars and experience a night away from the city life.
Meals can be arranged for an additional cost (recommended to bring your own food).
With a packed schedule, you might just want to take a break during rest time.
However, if you’re up for it, there is always a chance to sight-see around the campsite or you can add some collections to your photo album by waking up early to catch the sunrise.

You can fly to Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) direct from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Labuan, Sandakan or Tawau.
Arrival by land
You can travel to Kota Kinabalu by Taxi from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (approx. 14 minutes) and by Bus from Sandakan (approx. 6 hours), from Tawau (approx. 8 hours).
