Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal, currently located next to Jesselton Mall, will be relocating its operations to the South Jetty beginning February 2026. This update was shared via an official post on the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal Facebook page earlier today.
Based on information from the comment thread, access to the South Jetty will be via JQ Central. Visitors are advised to follow official updates for detailed directions closer to the relocation date.
Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal is one of two main public ferry jetties in the Kota Kinabalu city area, providing access to the surrounding islands. The other public option is Sutera Marina at Sutera Harbour Resort.
An additional alternative is STAR Marina, located within Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort. However, visitors should note that both Sutera Marina and STAR Marina are not full public ferry terminals, as they serve selected licensed island operators only.
