1. Mount Kinabalu, Sabah

Distance: 8.5KM to the summit
Height: 4,095m (above sea level)
Difficulty: Hard
The highest mountain in Malaysia and the most famous hike in Sabah. It’s a challenging climb but very rewarding, especially at sunrise.
2. Bohey Dulang, Semporna

Distance: 700m (one-way)
Height: ~353m (above sea level)
Difficulty: Moderate
A short but steep hike with beautiful views of turquoise islands. One of the most scenic spots in Sabah.
3. Chanang Hill, Keningau

Distance: 3KM – 4KM (one-way)
Height: 718m (above sea level)
Difficulty: Moderate to hard
A picturesque sanctuary offering breathtaking views from its peak. They have a road trail and jungle trail, great for those who want either a challenging or moderate hike.
4. Sosodikon Hill, Kundasang

Distance: 400m (one-way)
Height: ~1,465m (above sea level)
Difficulty: Easy
An easy hike known for its “sea of clouds” view and the cold, crisp air. Best visited early in the morning to get a clear view of Mount Kinabalu.
5. Kinabalu Park Trails, Ranau


Distance: 0.5KM – 5.6KM
Height: ~1,500–2,000m (above sea level)
Difficulty: Easy to hard (Depends on trail)
The park offers 8 trails surrounded by nature with trail difficulty ranging from easy to challenging. So make sure to pick your trails wisely!
6. Bukit Sim Sim, Sandakan



Distance: 2.3KM (round-trip)

Difficulty: Easy to moderate

7. Maragang Hill, Kundasang
