Gretchene Quirina Releases “Aku Bodoh” – A Touching Ballad About Unappreciated Love and the Courage to Let Go

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – In a world that often celebrates the beauty of love, Gretchene Quirina, a talented young singer from XIOKK Entertainment, has released a song titled “Aku Bodoh.” This emotional pop ballad explores an unappreciated love story, expressing feelings of regret and the courage to let go, even when the heart has not fully healed.

Aku Bodoh” guides listeners through the emotional journey of a girl who initially believes she is genuinely loved, only to discover a different reality. When the truth emerges and her heart can no longer endure the pain, she decides to leave, carrying deep wounds but also the courage to begin a new chapter in her life.

This song serves as a voice for those who have experienced the pain of one-sided love and betrayal, and are now working to piece their hearts back together. With lyrics that resonate deeply and a melody that lingers, Gretchene expresses a feeling that is both fragile and empowering.

This work was written by Ryenald Guntabid, Melakaboy & Sa.tugram. Irwan Simanjuntak, a renowned music producer in the region, also crafted the arrangement and composition of the music.

The music video “Aku Bodoh,” directed by Elvin Romeo and assisted by Ivan Hiew, was produced and edited by Al Hanafi Juhar. It captures Gretchene’s emotions in moments of silence, illustrating the bedroom that once witnessed tears and the living room filled with broken promises. Each scene takes the audience on an emotional journey. “Aku Bodoh” is more than just a music video; it serves as a window into a soul that is learning to let go.

Notably, the ‘hero’ character in this music video is portrayed by Juansen, a social media influencer from Indonesia who has more than 7.5 million followers on TikTok.

Gretchene will light up the night in Kota Kinabalu with a special performance alongside fans during ‘Malam Galau Kinabalu: Gretchen & Friends,’ taking place on June 14, 2025, from 8 to 11 PM at Crooners Bay Bar.

She is set to make a special appearance at the Glenn Fredly Hologram Concert in Kuala Lumpur on July 18. Following that, she will serve as the opening act for the renowned Indonesian band NIDJI at their upcoming concert in Kota Kinabalu in October.

“Aku Bodoh” is now available on all digital streaming platforms. This song is expected to make a significant impact, not only in Malaysia but also in Indonesia.
