The Crocker Range Festival 2025 Returns with Even More Vibrant Cultural Attractions

Keningau: The Crocker Range Festival (TCRF) is set to once again bring vibrancy to Dataran Keningau for four days beginning June 26, featuring a variety of thrilling activities as part of the eighth season of this annual celebration.

This event is anticipated to attract tourists and culture enthusiasts, not just from Sabah but from across the nation.

Serving as a vital platform for celebrating and showcasing the diverse ethnic cultures of Sabah’s interior, TCRF 2025 will include a range of cultural and community events such as artistic performances, craft contests, traditional sports, and significant programs like the Miss & Mister Crocker Range pageant and local product exhibitions.

This year’s festival introduces innovative elements with the addition of three new components: the Sabah Cultural Fiesta, Keningau Youth Fiesta, and Kids Fiesta.

Rafie Robert, the Organising Chairman of TCRF, stated that this initiative offers opportunities for individuals of all ages to partake in various activities free of charge, aligning with the festival’s mission to connect generations and promote a sense of community.

He emphasised that among the main attractions set to engage visitors are exclusive performances by two celebrated local ethnic art figures, Alena Murang and Belle Sisoski.

These artists are anticipated to mesmerise the audience with traditional music that enhances Borneo’s cultural identity.

According to Rafie, TCRF is committed to serving as a key platform for fostering community unity through cultural heritage.

“We are excited to continue The Crocker Range Festival as a way to promote culture and strengthen community ties.

“The involvement of distinguished artists like Alena Murang and Belle Sisoski will enrich the cultural experience for attendees,” he stated.

Rafie also pointed out that this festival offers local entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their products directly to visitors, thus positively impacting the economy of rural communities.

He mentioned that organising TCRF 2025 is not merely a cultural celebration, but also part of an initiative to support the State Government’s policy in advancing the tourism industry.

“It aligns with the goals of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan, which highlights the empowerment of the tourism sector as a key driver of the state’s economic growth,” he added.

Rafie stated that TCRF 2025 represents a comprehensive effort to bolster the tourism sector, preserve cultural identity, and stimulate local economic development.

The public is encouraged to come in large numbers to partake in the excitement of The Crocker Range Festival 2025 and witness firsthand the uniqueness of Sabah’s vibrant culture.
